Case Study: Commercial Photography & Virtual Tour for Trethowans Solicitors, Winchester

| Case Studies

A comprehensive commercial photography package and bespoke 360° virtual tour for a leading law firm's newly fitted Winchester office. Covering reception, meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and private offices.

When Trethowans, a well-established South Coast law firm, completed a full fit-out of their Winchester office, they needed professional imagery that would showcase the quality of the new workspace for their website, recruitment materials, and client communications. The space featured contemporary design with glass partitions, branded meeting rooms, and carefully curated breakout areas, all of which needed to be captured in a way that conveyed professionalism and warmth.

This case study covers the full commercial photography and virtual tour package delivered for their new Winchester office.

Trethowans' marketing team needed a comprehensive set of images covering every area of the newly fitted office. The photography would be used across their website, LinkedIn, recruitment brochures, and internal communications. They also wanted a bespoke 360° virtual tour that prospective clients and recruits could explore remotely.

I photographed every area of the new office: the reception and waiting area with its statement ring lighting, individual meeting rooms, private offices, breakout lounges, and the branded boardroom. The photography balanced the firm's navy and neutral brand palette with the natural light flooding through the glass partitions, creating images that feel both corporate and inviting.

The reception features a striking gold ring pendant light above navy armchairs and a contemporary side table. The Trethowans branding is visible throughout, from the signage at the reception desk to the branded roller banners in the boardroom. I used wide-angle compositions to show the spatial relationship between the waiting area and the corridor beyond, while tighter shots captured the quality of the furniture and lighting choices.

Each meeting room has its own character. The main boardroom features a large conference table with leather chairs and branded materials, while smaller meeting rooms offer more intimate settings with accent walls in the firm's signature navy. The sputnik chandelier in one meeting room adds a distinctive design touch that photographs beautifully and helps differentiate the space from generic corporate interiors.

The breakout areas feature comfortable seating, tropical plants, and views through the glass partitions to the wider office. These spaces were photographed to show how the office encourages informal collaboration alongside focused work. The corridors themselves, with their frosted glass panels and warm oak flooring, demonstrate the attention to detail in the fit-out.

Individual offices were photographed to show the quality of the working environment, with standing desks, dual monitors, and copper wall lights creating a premium feel. These images are particularly valuable for recruitment, showing candidates the quality of workspace they can expect.

A bespoke 360° virtual tour was created alongside the photography, allowing prospective clients and recruits to explore the space remotely. The tour links key areas including reception, meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and the main office floor, creating a self-guided experience that mirrors an in-person visit.

For a law firm with multiple offices across the South Coast, the virtual tour allows prospective clients to familiarise themselves with the Winchester space before visiting, reducing anxiety and building confidence. For recruitment, it lets candidates see the working environment from anywhere in the country.

In a competitive legal market, first impressions are formed long before a client walks through the door. A firm's website, LinkedIn presence, and recruitment pages are often the first touchpoint for prospective clients and candidates. Professional photography of your workspace communicates investment, attention to detail, and the quality of environment your team works in.

For Trethowans, showcasing their newly fitted Winchester office was about more than aesthetics. It was about signalling to clients and recruits that this is a modern, forward-thinking firm that takes pride in its working environment.
