A hosted Matterport case study for Hurley House Hotel and Garden Pavilion in Berkshire. I captured public areas, event spaces and selected bedrooms so prospective wedding couples and event planners can explore the venue remotely before arranging a visit. The model remains available while Matterport hosting is active.
Hurley House Hotel and Garden Pavilion in Berkshire needed an online tour that could introduce its hospitality and event spaces before a visit. I created a hosted Matterport model covering public areas, event spaces and selected bedrooms.
The result gives prospective wedding couples, event planners and other venue users a remote first look at the captured spaces on Henley Road in Hurley. It supports the next conversation without pretending to replace the value of visiting the venue in person.
01The Brief
A hotel and event venue has several audiences to consider. A guest may want to understand the bedroom and public areas, while a couple or event planner needs to see how the Garden Pavilion can work for different parts of an event.
The Matterport model connects those spaces in one self-guided experience. Its labelled views include the bar, private dining, Omakase Sushi Bar, restaurant, Pavilion conference, ceremony and dining layouts, and bedrooms 1 to 4.
02What I Captured
I scanned the venue point by point so users could move between hospitality areas while retaining a clear sense of their relationship to one another. The model provides both a wider 3D overview and an interior walkthrough.
For the Garden Pavilion, the different labelled arrangements make it easier to move directly to the conference, ceremony or dining view. For the hotel, users can continue into the public rooms and selected bedrooms captured on the day.
03Explore the Hurley House Matterport Tour
The live tour is hosted by Matterport and can be opened through a direct link or embedded on a venue website while the relevant hosting remains active.
04Client Feedback
"We have worked with Matthew from 360 Virtual Tours on a couple of occasions now and we were very impressed with the quality of the work, the promptness of delivery and the overall dealings and follow-up. Very highly recommended." Thomas Kadri, five-star Google review
This feedback was supplied after work for Hurley House. I have kept the wording faithful to the original review while presenting it as text rather than reproducing a phone screenshot.
05A Remote First Look Before a Venue Visit
The practical value of the model is that a user can explore the captured venue from anywhere and arrive at the next conversation with a clearer understanding of the spaces. For a wedding couple or event planner, that may mean comparing Pavilion layouts or revisiting the venue after an initial enquiry.
The model does not demonstrate a booking uplift or other commercial outcome, and I do not present it that way. Its role is to provide a clear, reusable visual reference while hosting remains active.
06Planning a Hotel or Venue Matterport Project
A useful brief includes the spaces to be captured, room availability, event layouts, intended audience, approximate floor area and target date. Where a venue needs more than one dressed layout, I agree what should be represented before the shoot.
The hosted tour is usually live within a week of scanning, with the exact timing confirmed in the quote. I provide Matterport virtual tours, wider commercial virtual tours, hotel photography and wedding venue photography across the UK.
To discuss a hotel, wedding venue or hospitality group, request a commercial quote with the site, approximate size and intended use.
