Collie Shepherds Huts
Langport, Somerset
Two luxury shepherd's huts on the Somerset Levels, photographed across three sessions in a single day: soft dawn interiors, practical daylight detail, then lit fire pits and glowing windows at dusk.
Photography Services
From a standout holiday let to a property sale or commercial space, start with the service that matches the job.

Professional photography that showcases your holiday property at its very best. I help cottage owners, rural retreat hosts, and holiday home managers fill their booking calendars with images that capture the character, comfort, and setting of every property.

I'm Matthew, a dad from the South West running a one-man photography business across the South West. I've stayed in plenty of holiday lets with my own family, so I photograph yours the way a guest actually browses: hot tub, view, that big farmhouse table.
There's no agency between us. You message me, I shoot it, and I edit every image myself so your listing stands out on Airbnb, Sykes and Booking.com.
Each set below is one real property I photographed, from a Cotswold cottage to a Somerset shepherd's hut. Click any image to browse that shoot full size, or read the written case study.
Langport, Somerset
Two luxury shepherd's huts on the Somerset Levels, photographed across three sessions in a single day: soft dawn interiors, practical daylight detail, then lit fire pits and glowing windows at dusk.
Elton, Gloucestershire
A one-bedroom luxury cabin on the edge of the Forest of Dean, shot to feel like an escape rather than a floor plan. Drone frames prove the seclusion and the outdoor stone bath gets the coverage it deserves, because that is the image guests screenshot and send to their partner.
St Pauls, Bristol
A characterful terraced house in St Pauls, photographed for a competitive city market. Every room, the flexible twin second bedroom, and the street art on the doorstep, so guests understand both the house and the neighbourhood they are booking.
Herefordshire
A pre-launch shoot for an A-frame eco lodge set in open Herefordshire farmland. Architecture, hot tub, fire pit and the mezzanine loft, all tied back to the view that the whole building is designed around.
Tetbury, Cotswolds
A beautifully styled Cotswold stone cottage managed by Must Stay Again. The set covers the refined interiors and the branded touches, with detail frames that show the level of care a guest is paying for.
Holiday let bookings are won or lost on photographs. When a potential guest scrolls through dozens of cottages, coastal homes, or rural retreats on a booking platform, the listing images are the single biggest factor in whether they click through or keep scrolling. Research consistently shows that professionally photographed holiday properties achieve higher occupancy rates, command better nightly rates, and attract more direct bookings.
The difference between a phone snapshot and professional holiday let photography is not just image quality. It is about storytelling. A professional photographer understands how to capture the warmth of a log burner on a winter evening, the way morning light falls through a cottage window, or the sense of space in a coastal garden with sea views beyond. These are the moments that make a guest imagine themselves in your property, and that imagination is what converts a browser into a booker.
Around 80% of my work is holiday rental photography. I've shot hundreds of Airbnb listings, holiday cottages, glamping sites, serviced apartments, and boutique B&Bs across Somerset, Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds, Devon, and South Wales. That volume of experience means I know what works: which compositions drive bookings, which detail shots guests respond to, and how to present every type of holiday property, from a one-bedroom shepherd's hut to a twelve-bedroom country estate, in a way that fills calendars year-round.
I've also written the book on it. Stay Booked covers listing optimisation, photography strategy, pricing, and guest experience. When you book a shoot with me, you're not just getting a photographer, you're getting a specialist who understands the entire journey from listing to repeat booking.
Unlike generic property photography, holiday let photography requires a specific approach. Guests are not buying a home; they are buying an experience. That means I photograph not just the rooms, but the details that create atmosphere: the welcome hamper, the view from the hot tub, the walking path from the front door, the local pub down the lane. These contextual shots are what set high-performing listings apart.
From stone cottages to luxury coastal homes, I adapt my approach to suit every type of holiday let.
Stone cottages, thatched properties, and converted barns with character features that deserve to be shown at their best. I capture beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplaces, and cottage gardens in natural light.
Seaside apartments, beach houses, and cliff-top retreats. I photograph sea views, outdoor terraces, and the unique coastal light that makes these properties so appealing to holiday guests.
Farmhouses, shepherd's huts, glamping pods, and remote escapes. I show the surrounding landscape, walking routes, and the sense of space and tranquillity that guests are searching for.
Log cabins, treehouses, and forest hideaways. I capture the natural setting, hot tubs, outdoor living spaces, and the connection to nature that makes these properties unique.
High-end holiday properties with premium finishes, pools, games rooms, and extensive grounds. I deliver magazine-quality imagery that justifies premium nightly rates.
Properties designed for families, with gardens, play areas, and practical layouts. I photograph the spaces that parents care about, showing room to spread out and relax.
You get in touch with details of your property. I send a preparation checklist covering styling, cleaning, and staging tips specific to holiday lets. We agree a date that works around your booking calendar.
I arrive and spend 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the property size. I photograph every room, outdoor spaces, key details, and the surrounding area. Where the property suits it, drone aerials capture the setting and any views, though not every property needs them and I will tell you honestly if they would add nothing. If you have added a Matterport virtual tour, I scan the property at the same time.
Every image is professionally edited in Adobe Lightroom. I correct white balance, enhance natural light, straighten verticals, and ensure colours are true to life. The result is a set of images that look inviting and honest, never over-processed or misleading.
Within 48 hours you receive your full image set in both high-resolution (for print) and web-optimised formats (for listing platforms). I can advise on image ordering and which shots work best as hero images on different platforms.
Transparent pricing, with drone aerials included where the property suits them where the property suits them. No hidden extras.

Airbnb and holiday let photography goes beyond wide-angle room shots. It's a mix of wide-angle and curated editorial-style images, lifestyle details, styled vignettes, and guest-perspective angles that sell an experience, not just a space.
80% of my work is holiday rental photography. You're booking a specialist who's shot hundreds of listings and written the book on what makes them perform.
Studios, one-beds and single-room lets
Up to 25 finished images
Typically earned back within one or two extra bookings
Most 2–4 bed lets
40–50 finished images
Typically earned back within one or two extra bookings
Larger properties and hosts marketing across multiple channels
70+ finished images
Built for bigger properties with more rooms to cover, and for hosts who need images for their listing, direct bookings and social.
Usually covered by around two extra bookings, then it keeps paying
Photography that pays for itself
On a typical holiday let at £120 to £180 a night, one or two extra bookings covers the whole shoot. Listings with professional photos take around 24% more bookings, so most hosts are back in profit within the first few weeks, and the images keep working for years afterwards.
Every package delivers a library rather than a single listing set, so you can refresh your photos through the seasons, feed direct booking sites and social, and keep your listing looking current.
Volume rates and monthly retainers available for agents and portfolio landlords. Get in touch for a rate card.
*For standard packages. Larger shoots or multi-property commissions may require additional editing time — I'll always confirm your delivery date at booking.

Signature shoots aren't priced by bedroom count. A two bed lodge with a beautifully considered interior often takes as long to photograph properly as a five bed house, because the time goes into the light and the detail rather than the floor area. So these are booked by the day.

Editorial imagery shot and finished to the standard interiors magazines publish. Composed properly, lit properly, hand-finished frame by frame.
A day rate suits both ends. Shepherd's huts and one bed lodges, boutique cottages, and larger houses and mansions all get the same level of care.
We wait for the light, style and reset as we go, and don't leave until the property has been shown at its best. Guaranteed, or I reshoot it.
It should pay for itself, quickly
At luxury nightly rates, a Signature shoot is typically earned back on the first booking it wins you. From there it is pure return: the same set keeps filling your calendar, at a higher nightly rate, for years.
Signature isn't a bigger package. It's a different kind of shoot: fewer, better frames, made with the time and attention that a property with real character needs. If what you want is a large library to rotate through, Airbnb Premium is the better buy.
What drives the time is how many spaces you want to feature, whether we're styling and resetting between shots, whether we're waiting for the right light, and whether there are exteriors, grounds or aerials to cover. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll say which makes sense.
Signature sets aren't sold by the image. You get everything worth keeping from the time we spend, fully finished, which is where the value sits: a small set of images this strong will out-earn a large set of ordinary ones, and they stay usable for years across your listing, your own site, print and press.

I am based in the South West, Somerset, and regularly photograph holiday lets across the South West and South Wales. My core coverage area includes Somerset, Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds, North Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and South Wales including Cardiff, Newport, and the Brecon Beacons.
Popular holiday let destinations I cover include the Mendip Hills, Cheddar Gorge, Exmoor National Park, the Somerset Levels, the Quantock Hills, the Jurassic Coast, and the Wye Valley. Whether your cottage is tucked into a Somerset village or perched on a cliff in North Devon, I can reach you.
South Wales holiday lets are a growing part of my work. Cardiff Bay apartments, Gower coastal cottages, Brecon Beacons retreats, and Wye Valley escapes all attract strong guest demand. I regularly cross the Severn Bridge to photograph rental properties in Cardiff, Newport, and Monmouthshire, bringing the same quality and turnaround that my Somerset clients expect.
For area-specific information about my holiday let and short-term rental photography services, see my dedicated pages for Somerset holiday lets, Cotswolds holiday cottages, Devon holiday lets, and Cornwall coastal properties. I also cover the full range of short-term rental photography services including platform-specific optimisation.
