Matterport & 360 Virtual Tours in London

Tours for London restaurants, workspace, hotels, schools and care settings. Real completed projects in Bayswater, Holborn and central London, with travel included in the price.

London businesses compete harder online than anywhere else in the country. A restaurant in Bayswater is not competing with the rest of Britain, it is competing with the forty other places a hungry person can reach on foot in ten minutes. A serviced office in the City is one of dozens a tenant will shortlist in an afternoon. In that environment a virtual tour has stopped being a nice extra and become closer to table stakes, because the venue that lets people look inside is the one that gets chosen over the one that asks them to take a chance.

I should be straightforward about how this works. I am based in Somerset, not London, and I do not pretend to run a London office or a London team. What I do is travel in regularly for commercial work, with travel, parking, congestion charge and ULEZ already inside the quoted price. The London projects on this page are jobs I have completed, not stock examples, and the tours are embedded below so you can judge the standard yourself rather than take my word for it. This is part of my UK-wide virtual tour work, and London is one of the areas I cover most often.

The commercial bias here is deliberate. Most of my London enquiries come from venues, workspace operators, institutions and care providers rather than from individual house sales, largely because London agents tend to have photography arrangements already in place while a restaurant group or a college has no one who does this. Residential work in London is still perfectly possible, and the Matterport pricing below applies to it, but the pages and the examples lean towards businesses because that is where the demand sits.

Practically, a London shoot is planned around your operating hours rather than mine. Restaurants get scanned before service or on a closed day. Offices in the West End and Canary Wharf are usually early morning or weekend jobs so nobody is working around a tripod. Schools tend to prefer half term. If you also need stills from the same visit, my property photography in London page covers that side of the work, and combining the two in one visit is cheaper than booking them separately.

Sectors

Who Uses Virtual Tours in London?

Six types of London business that commission this work, and the specific problem a tour solves for each.

Restaurants, bars & hospitality

A London restaurant is chosen on a phone, usually by someone deciding between four places within walking distance. A tour answers the questions a menu photo cannot: how loud is it, how close are the tables, is there a quieter room at the back, would this work for a birthday of twelve. My Thai Square tour in Bayswater is a Street View example of exactly that job.

Offices, coworking & serviced workspace

Workspace operators across the City, Shoreditch and Canary Wharf lose time on viewings that were never going to convert. A tour filters that out. Agents and operators send a link, the tenant walks the floor plate, measures a meeting room, and arrives at the viewing already interested rather than merely curious.

Schools, colleges & universities

London institutions recruit internationally, and a tour is often the only way an overseas applicant will see the building before accepting a place. I have built tours for London Academy of Trading among other education clients, and there is a dedicated page on my education virtual tours if that is your sector.

Hotels & event spaces

Hotels compete on booking platforms where every property has the same three photographs of a made bed. A tour lets a corporate booker walk the function room, check the ceiling height and see the route from the lift. My work at L'oscar in Holborn covered the library and the public rooms, which is precisely what events enquiries ask to see.

Showrooms & retail

Showrooms in West London and along the North Circular carry stock that customers travel for. A tour with hotspots on individual products turns the showroom into something browsable at eleven at night, and it holds the visitor long enough to make the trip feel worthwhile.

Care homes & retirement living

Families choosing a London care home are often doing it quickly, at distance, and under stress. Being able to see a room, a lounge and a garden before visiting removes a great deal of that. My care home photography page covers how those shoots are handled around residents.

Three of those sectors have their own pages with more detail on how the shoots are run: restaurant photography, hotel photography and education virtual tours.

Absolutely incredible work — I only wish I'd found Matthew sooner, it would have saved so much time and money. We had a very challenging Matterport scanning project across a 14-room, 6-floor, 375-year-old building, and Matthew approached every detail with patience and precision to get the result absolutely perfect. Exceptional service from start to finish. Highly recommended.

The Matterport virtual tours have been a revelation for our higher-end listings. Overseas buyers can explore properties in detail before flying over for viewings. Matthew's tours are always high quality and delivered quickly.
