Sage green cabinetry with a built-in oven, herringbone wood flooring, and a decorative ladder shelf styled with plants create a space that feels both contemporary and characterful. I shot this wide to show the full layout and the relationship between the cooking area, the worktops, and the styling details.
A tighter composition shows the quality of the cabinetry, the integrated appliances, and the herringbone floor detail. These detail shots are important for renovation properties because they communicate the level of investment and the quality of materials used. Buyers scrolling through Rightmove can immediately see this isn't a budget renovation.
04The Living Spaces
The main living room combines period features — the bay window looking out onto the Victorian terrace opposite — with contemporary furniture: a green corduroy sofa, a mid-century armchair, and nested walnut coffee tables. I positioned the shot to show the full depth of the room and the way the natural light falls across the space.
An alternate angle of the living room shows the green velvet armchair, the vintage wooden sideboard beneath the bay window, and the industrial floor lamp. These lifestyle-oriented images help buyers imagine themselves in the space, which is ultimately what drives viewings.
The oak sliding barn doors are a standout feature of this renovation. They separate the living spaces while maintaining an open, flowing feel. I photographed through the doorway to show the dining nook on the left, the barn door hardware, and the sage green kitchen visible beyond — highlighting how the spaces connect.
05The Dining Area
The dining area features a round white table with wooden chairs, a starfish and pebble canvas on the wall, and the oak barn door leading through to the kitchen. The composition shows the relationship between the two spaces and the consistent design language — the same attention to detail in the furniture choices, the artwork, and the styling.
06The Hallway and Study
Hallway shots are often overlooked, but in a renovation property they serve an important purpose. They show the flow between rooms, the quality of the flooring throughout, and the overall sense of space. This shot captures the bench seating, the compact desk nook with wire chair, and the view through to the green sofa in the living room beyond — demonstrating how the ground floor works as a connected whole.
A wider view of the hallway shows the bench seating with wicker storage baskets, the desk nook with an anglepoise lamp, and the framed landscape and cactus prints on the wall. Photographing these functional details shows buyers that the renovation has been designed for real life, not just for show.
07The Bedrooms
The master bedroom continues the design language established downstairs — a wooden bed frame, neutral textured bedding, an abstract art print above the headboard, and a rattan reading chair by the bay window.
