Property Photography Shot List Template
A shot list is not a rigid recipe. It is a way to make sure the client receives a complete visual story, while leaving room to respond to light, layout and the property’s strengths.
Start with the journey, not a room count
Think about how a buyer, guest or client understands a space. The approach, exterior, main living area, kitchen and main bedroom usually establish the story before the supporting rooms and details fill in the picture.
- Identify the likely hero image before you start
- Capture a wide establishing view and a useful reverse angle where it adds clarity
- Include the transition images that explain how spaces connect
Build flexible sections
A sale listing, Airbnb and commercial workspace need different emphasis. Keep a core shot structure, then add a sector-specific section for what the client actually needs to show.
- Sales: approach, principal rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, garden and practical extras
- Holiday lets: arrival, sleeping layout, amenities, dining and booking features
- Commercial: reception, workspace or customer areas, operational detail and people-led frames where agreed
End with a quality check
Before you pack down, review the brief, hero image, exterior and important rooms. It is much easier to make one final frame on location than to explain why it is missing later.
