How to Price Property Photography Services
A package price only works if it covers the full job. This guide helps you think beyond the time spent behind the camera and build a sustainable property photography business.
Price the entire delivery, not the shoot hour
A one-hour shoot can include travel, preparation, parking, culling, editing, delivery, client communication, equipment wear and backup. Set a fee based on the full commitment, not the time the client sees you in the property.
- Estimate travel, preparation, shooting, editing and delivery time
- Allocate business costs such as software, insurance, kit and marketing
- Decide what a worthwhile job contributes to your income target
Make the package clear
A confident package tells the client what is included, how many finished images they can expect, when they will receive them and which useful additions are available. Avoid vague inclusions that create scope creep later.
Use add-ons thoughtfully
Drone, floor plans, video, twilight, virtual tours and extra images should solve a client need and be priced to cover the work. They are not simply ways to make a quote look larger.
